De SpeelDagHB is ment for all (presumably) gifted children of approximately 3 to 12 years. Not gifted yourself? We welcome you to come along with your brother or sister. (It is not necessary to be a member of Speelvrienden).

After your payment (iDeal) you will automatically receive a confirmation email. Please check your spambox.

Children are not allowed to visit the SpeelDagHB on their own, they need to be accompanied by an adult.

The schedule:

  Build your own world in a suitcase: Janna, from ZELLUF - Practice for 'speltherapie', will join us with her lovable old blue oldtimer van. She will bring many very old and beautiful suitcases, in which you can build your very own and very special world. Once you are done Janna will take a picture of youre world, so you can take it home with you. Participating is free, every child can join Janna once. You will find Janna at the schoolyard.
     
  CATERING: During the day we will sell coffe, tea, lemonade and a little something sweet.

At the catering we also sell the lottery tickets.

    Creative activity: Come over and make your own art-work at Sylvia's. Last year, in Hoorn, Sylvia brought so many fun things.... it was hard to choose! So many children had so much fun. It is possible to make a precious work of art for just a few euro's.
     
    Denkspellen.nl: A well known exhibitoner, René van der Zwet, will be joining us again. He brings along loads of thinking games, which you can play on site and buy if you are interested. Is there a game you would like to play? Please let us know by e-mail. We will collect all requestst and send them to René! (René has a PIN pad).
     
  De Kinderboekwinkel: This children's bookstore is bringing lots and lots of books. We know you can find a new book or a new book of your favourite series. Come over and enjoy.

During the day you can come over and make your very own button.
     
  Getting to know each other (between 11:00-12:00hrs and 13:30-14:30hrs): Audrey and Marion have all sorts of 'little tasks' waiting for children of all ages. And yes, parents are welcome as well. They know how to play, don't they?!
     
  Hubelino: The buildingblocks have various shapes and colours and enable you to build your very own marble track. Today it is possible to experience the fun yourself. Discover all about speed, gravity, centrifugal force and it's interconnectedness. (Good to know: the blocks fit all other brands of buildingblocks. Hubelino also has a range of Mind and Learning Games, which will not be present today, but can be found on their website).
     
    Kinderpraktijk Chuen: Dewhi will be joining us with information about resilience, HSP and fear of failure. More information will follow.
     
  Kiwi Electronics: Come over and build and program a robot. Discover your own invention, using all sorts off hobby materials. Bring along enthousiasm and creativity and join us in the 'Kiwi Electronics' class-room. Today we will show you how to build robots yourself.

We will bring these materials:
- littleBits (learning electronics using magnetic modules)
- Makeblock (Robotica, where children learn to build and program)
- Ozobot (robot programmed by colors and drawings)
- Micro:bit (board with several sensors which can be programmed online)
     
  Discover the power of 'Visual learning': Every child develops in her or his own way. Sometimes learning is difficult. In case of a learning- or developmental problem Ellen is the one to turn to. She will help you and support you. Ask her all about visual learning, language learning and giftedness.
     
  248 media uitgeverij: This publisher provides us with books about giftedness, highly sensitivity and more. Do you know their magazine gifted @ 248? Today they join us with a selection of their assortment. Please pay cash and pay due.
     
  Muisje Sensitief: This webshop for special kids will advise you with all sorts of practical tips and trics. Do you like to fidget and wobble? Do you want something to chew on? Do you love working with a timer? Are you distracted by surrounding sounds? Come over and ask all your questions about motivity and balance.
     
  Papertrack.nl: René van der Zwet is not only bringing Mind Games, he is also bringing Papertrack. A spectacular, home build, marble track. You can try it on site and buy the size suited for you. (René has a PIN pad).
     
  Pienter, praktijk voor hoogbegaafdheid: During an interactive presentation Truus du Maine will tell you all about 'study skills' and 'preparing for the brugklas'.
     
     Plastic Fusion: Recycle old plastic bags into a wonderful new item. Irmgard (plusklas De23) and Lilian (plusklas Gioia) will help you get started. They have loads of inspiration to help you get inspired yourself. Please be aware of the hot iron. Materials cost a few euro's.
     
  Poffertjes (on the schoolyard): Ofcourse we have tasted these delicious 'poffertjes'. We can recommend them.
     
    Schoolyard: We challenge you to walk ten meters on our stilts. Ofcourse you can use the sidewalk chalk to create a spectacular course. Do you like to draw? Then make sure to surprise us with a drawing. We love to see all of your creativity and more. Please help us to keep the sidewalk chalk dry in case of rainy weather :)
     
    Speelvrienden: This network supports young gifted children finding peers and making friends. We hope to see you during one of our activities.
Speelvrienden is founded by Marjolijn Peters. Together with Nina Frerichs Marjolijn organises the SpeelDagHB.
     
  Stedelijk Gymnasium Schiedam: Did you discover this fun middelbare school? They have a special program for children almost done with the basisschool. But, the fun does not end once you have joined this school. There is so much to do, come over and experience all in the 'Makersplaats'! Use your own creativity and work with Robotics.
     
  Speeltheater Wishdom: This design and consultancy agency helps you to play and realize personal growth and development. Carola Pelder will introduce you to Professor Plezier and Katinka. There will be a table filled with creative materials. Children can make their own 'happy box' or 'mascot'. Would you like to know how Professor Plezier and Katinka became close friends? The join the workshops (show combined with creative activity).
     
  Sunny Games: While playing a cooperative game you play as a team and no longer against each other. The youngest can play Oogsten (3+) and Max de Kat (4+). Are you already a bit older? Then take a look at Stop de Stropers (8+) or Nisyros (12+). The demonstration team is happy to explain all the games. Come over and discover your favorite.
     
  Quiet place: With so much liveliness around you it can be very nice to have a quiet place. The only sound here will be whispering. Take some time to read a book or just do nothing.
     
  WOWcoaching & opstellingen: This is the coachingpractice of Marjolijn. She will help you and your family with questions about giftedness. For example: learn how to learn, Schrijfdans (a creative way of improving your handwriting), Cognitive Functions (improving your thinking skills), Familyconstellations and trauma processing.
     
  Yoi orthopedagogiek en trainingen: Yoi is here for you if you need guidance, support, a critical note, advice. During the day you can come over and walk in as you please. Come over and ask all the questions you need answered. There will be a workshop and a lecture as well.

    Theatre 'De waarachtige Pleziermeter' (11:00 and 13:30hrs, for children): Carola Pelder presents a combined show and workshop. (Material cost approximately € 5,00).

The show tells the story of Katinka an eight year old girl, searching for more fun. Mysteriously she end up in 'Boxdorp'. Everybody is excited. Professor Fun has disappeared, where did he go? Will Katinka be able to find him?

During the workshop the children are going to make a 'happy box' or 'mascot'.

     
  Interactive presentation 'Bullying, high sensitivity and trauma' (13:30u children and parents): What is the relationship between bullying, being highly sensitive and trauma? What can you do to help  yourself when you are being bullied? How to guide your child in these situations?
     
  Workshop 'Gifted parents!' (11:00hrs, adults, € 7,50 p/pers, pay at the door, will take 2 hours): Noks Nauta, the founder of IHBV, will take you along questions like: "How do you discover your own giftedness? Does your giftedness influence your work? and What do we learn from the Delphi-model?" Noks will connect at your needs. There is a new book about gifted adults. It is written in Dutch, but you can ask Noks all about it. Maybe it will expedite the translation in English. Noks is here today as a volunteer. What ever money she earnes today will be used to support the IHBV. Please pay cash and pay due, the is no PIN pad.
     
  Workshop 'From Mouth to Bottom': From Haviq (Hart voor iq) Dorien will join us. She will tell us about 'the human body'.
(Hart voor iq is a recently founded non profit organisation. The website is still under construction).
     
  Workshop 'Use your brain and think' (10:30-11:00u, children groups 1/2): Did you put your brain on standby? Is it true you are not used to 'really think about someting'? Then come over and experience the fun of turning your brain on and think! Without a doubt you will have new ideas and discover answers that are different from 'I don't know', 'that's easy' and 'boring'.
     
  Information for parents 'Use your brain and think' (11:00-11:30u, parents groups 1/2, Please do not leave your child unattended): Many gifted children have put their brain on (some sort of) standby. At school they can cope and keep up using just a part of their capacity. Today the children will explore a creative and playfull way of thinking and brainstorming. Talking about spring and the alfabet they will discover the fun of thinking and without even noticing turn their brain back on. During this informational gathering two 'Kies op Maat' students (PABO-4) of Thomas More HS will explain the exercise they have done with the children.

Marjolijn and Thomas More HS have worked closely together on supported the students in developing their program. (Marjolijn has her own coachingpractice WOWcoaching & opstellingen and is one of the lead organisers of today).
     
  'Getting to know each other' (times are mentioned during for registering): Together with Audrey and Marion you will take on several (creative) assignments. The goal is getting to know each other. There are all kinds of assignments, some of them on an individual basis, others need working together. What we are going to do remains a surprise!
     
  Workshop Peers4Parents 'Supporting the emotional needs of the gifted' (11:00hrs parents, please do not leave the children unattended): Not only the gifted children need peers, parents need peers as well !

Peers4Parents organises a workshop fullfilling the parental need for peers. Marieke van der Zee en Brigit Brinkman will help you discover the emotions and needs of your child, regarding motivation.

If wanted we will organise a second workshop at 13:30hrs. So please feel free to contact us in our clas-room. 
     
  Interactive presentation 'Preparing for the brugklas' (11:00hr, groups 6/7/8 and parents, free): Pienter, praktijk voor hoogbegaafdheid, Truus du Maine, will tell you all about the transition from basisschool to voortgezet onderwijs and the pitfalls you will encounter in the brugklasYou can click here to read more about the presentation.
     
  Workshops 'Philosophy' (11:00u 5-8 yrs, 13:30u 9-12 yrs, 11:00u en 13:30u parents): What makes a question a philosophical question? Can we use all subjects as a starter for a philosophical conversation? Yes you can! Together we will discover questions, leading are your own thoughts and amazement. You will be doing several tasks. During this workshop the tasks will vary from drawing to drama: thinking with a fun-factor! Make sure to for register (and do not wait to long)! More information and contacts
     
    Workshops 'Visual learning vs language learning' (11:00 and 13:30hrs, for children and parents): Ellen will help you discover more and learn about: visual learning and language learning. Visual learning and giftedness. Is visual learning a handicap? How do we recognize visual learners? How can we help visual learners? Visual learning has it's own strength and capabilities. Do you know which?
     
    Workshops 'Resilience, high sensitivity and anxiety for failures' (11:00 and 13:30hrs, for children): Dewhi will share her information soon. Would you like to participate in this workshop? Then for register, it is already possible.

  Workshop 'Important aspects of your being' (11:00u children and parents): When talking about giftedness, what are the most prominent aspects of your being? How do you differ in your thinking and how do you deal with it? What does it mean to be highly sensitive? Come over and learn a lot, discover and learn. There will be information about some important models; Tessa Kieboom, Acceptance and Commitment, Dabrowski, mindset en Spiral Dynamics.
